About Adventure Tails

Hello, my name is Rebecca Shalka, and pictured with me are my three dogs, Bella, Kooper and Izzy. I have had dogs from a very young age and following more than 25 years working in an office, and having raised my family, I decided to follow my heart and turn my love of dogs and the outdoors into my dream vocation. I have a lifetime of experience being around and living with dogs and small animals that I have now set up my own pet services business.
My experience with dogs encompasses various breeds and temperaments, from large breeds to rescue dogs and also a retired guide dog who taught me how to cross the road! I strongly believe that to work with dogs you need to have a love for them; their wellbeing and a dedication to helping them enjoy life to the full.
I am registered with NARPS UK (the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers). NARPS UK is a national body set up in response to the burgeoning number of professional dog walkers and pet sitters to ensure that strict codes of practice were established and adhered to.
I have recently completed a Level II Canine Care Training and Management Course at Writtle College and hold a Canine First Aid certificate; I am DBS checked and hold public liability insurance. My van is well equipped with air conditioning and is fitted out professionally with crates and I can offer endless love, cuddles and affection to your pets!
I want dogs in my care to have fun during our walks. Social dog walks help your dog to make friends and become part of a pack and puppy socialisation should be a priority. This will not only improve their behaviour, but you will have a well socialised and well balanced dog as they grow up.
Your dog will be picked up from your home, and after a half hour or hour long walk will be dropped back, happy, relaxed and well exercised.
In order to help you decide if I can provide the right service for you and your pet, I offer a free consultation to discuss your needs and those of your pet at a time convenient to you.
